Wormers for Dogs and Cats

Wormers for Dogs and Cats

We supply Panacur dog and cat wormers in  the granule, tablet and paste format.  Listed below are the dosages and uses for these products. Panacur Favourites for dog and cats have been discontinued by the manufacturer.

 
   


Panacur Granules a wormer for cats, dogs kittens and puppies 
USES: Adult dogs and cats
For the treatment of adult cats and dogs infected with gastro-intestinal round worms and tapeworms including Toxocara canis,Toxocara cati, Toxascaris Leoninia, Ancylostoma spp., Trichurisspp., Unicinaria spp. and Taenia spp. 

USES: Weaned puppies and kittens
For the treatment of weaned puppies and kittens infected with gastro-intestinal roundworms and puppies infected with protozoa Giardia spp.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION  Adult dogs and cats
Panacur granules should be mixed into the feed. For the routine treatment of adult cats and dogs each 4.5 gm sachet will dose up to 10kg (22lbs) adult bodyweight. 

TREATMENT INTERVALS Adult dogs and cats
Treatment should be repeated when natural re-infection with parasitic worms occurs. Routine treatment of adult animals with minimal exposure to infection is advisable 2 to 4 times per year.  More frequent treatment at 6 to 8 week intervals is recommended for dogs in kennels where re-infection occurs more readily 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Weaned puppies and kittens under 6 months
Panacur granules should be mixed into the feed. Each 4.5 gm sachet will dose up to 20kg (44lbs) bodyweight.
Administer 1 sachet per 20kg daily for 3 consecutive days
Smaller or unweaned puppies or kittens should be treated with Panacur Paste.
Puppies should be treated at 2 weeks, 5 weeks and again before moving to a new home.  Treatment may also be required at 8 and 12 weeks


 

Panacur Paste wormer for cats, dogs kittens and puppies
A broad spectrum anthelmintic for the treatment of domestic dogs and cats infected with immature and mature stages of nematodes of the gastro-intestinal and respiratory tracts.

USES: Adult dogs and cats
For the treatment of adult dogs and cats infected with gastro-intestinal nematodes and cestodes: Ascarid spp.(Toxocara canis), Toxocara cati, Toxascaris Leoninia, Ancylostoma spp., Trichurisspp., Unicinaria spp. and Taenia spp. 

USES: Puppies and kittens
For the treatment of puppies and kittens infected with gastro-intestinal nematodes and puppies infected with protozoa (Giardia spp.) 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION  Adult dogs and cats
Orally administer 2 syringe graduations per 1kg bodyweight as a single dose (= 100mg fenbendazole/kg bodyweight). Each 5g syringe is sufficient to dose up to 9 kg bodyweight as a single dose. Routine treatment of adult animals with minimal exposure to infection is advisable 2 to 4 times per year. 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Weaned puppies and kittens under 6 months
Orally administer 1 syringe graduation per 1kg bodyweight daily for 3 consecutive days. Each 5 g syringe is sufficient to dose up to 6 kg bodyweight for 3 consecutive days. Puppies and kittens should be treated at 2 weeks, 5 weeks and again before moving to a new home.  Treatment may also be required at 8 and 12 weeks.

 

Panacur Favourites a wormer for dogs  and puppies 
USES: Adult dogs
For the treatment of adult dogs infected with gastro-intestinal round worms and tapeworms including Toxocara canis, Toxascaris Leoninia, Ancylostoma spp., Trichuris spp., Unicinaria spp. and Taenia spp. 

USES: Weaned puppies
For the treatment of weaned puppies infected with gastro-intestinal roundworms particularly Toxocara canis,Ancylostoma spp or puppies infected with protozoa Giardia spp.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION  Adult dogs
Panacur Favourites are best administered added to feed. prior to feeding, or alternatively administered by mouth directly after feeding. One half tablet per 5kg of bodyweight as a single oral dose.

TREATMENT INTERVALS Adult dogs
Treatment should be repeated 2 to 4 times per year as natural re-infection with  worms occurs.  More frequent treatment at 6 to 8 week intervals is recommended for dogs in kennels where re-infection occurs more readily.

 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Weaned puppies under 6 months
One half tablet per 10kg bodyweight daily for 3 consecutive days.

Due to the minimum dosage that can be accurately attained using Panacur Favourites for dogs the product should not be used for weaned or unweaned puppies weighing less than 5kg  The product should not be used for adult dogs weighing less than 5kg.  The product should not be used for pregnant bitches weighing less than 10 kg where prolonged treatment at 25mg/kg/day is required
