Horse & pet wormers direct provide independent advice and worming programmes that are impartial. Wormers direct have specialized in the horse feed and equine health market for the past 39 years and several years ago introduced a horse worming scheme to many of their equestrian clients. The scheme is a based on a animal health plan with emphasis on the rotation of the key chemical ingredients contained in the leading equine wormers on the UK market today along with guidance on pasture management, environmental issues, worming history and the use of faecal egg counts. We offer guidelines and advice which will hopefully lead to reducing the parasite burden on your horse.

We have an extensive range of equine herbs available to buy from this site. From Agnus Castus Chaste Tree Berries also known as Monk's Pepper are well documented for the support of mare’s hormonal cycles and to calm the mare’s behaviour prior to its “season". Mares exhibiting performance problems during estrus have also benefited. Cushing's - Chaste Tree Berries provide nutritional support to the pituitary gland and whole endocrine system working alongside the body in its self-regulation. For animal use only, do not give to mares in foal  to Turmeric Turmeric is derived from the underground stems of the plant Curcuma longa, a member of the ginger family. It has the familiar yellow colour of Indian curry and American mustard. It has been shown to have dramatic health benefits one being a reduction in the inflammatory pathways found in horses suffering from osteoarthritis and has been found to keep joints supple in older horses. It is used to treat dermatitis and itchiness in horses, arthritis in both dogs and horses, irritable bowel disease, and an increased athletic ability and general improvement in the overall health of the Horse Turmeric is a powerful anti-oxidant, pain reliever, anti-viral and anti-bacterial spice. The importance of regular equine worming cannot be overstated as untreated parasitic infestations can cause many equine health problems. This can be such conditions as tail rubbing, colic, loss of condition, poor performance, coughing, anaemia ,diarrhoea and even at worst death.

By researching and constantly monitoring available data and by regular contact with the manufacturers we have devised this scheme to promote a better understanding of animal health issues and to protect your horse from the risk of worm damage. The worming scheme is designed to run along side other practical suggestions such as pasture management, testing and monitoring and where necessary advise from your vet for specific occasions.

It is an offence to administer a wormer that has not been marketed or packaged for use in the UK
